Velugu
Our Project “Velugu” which means “Light” in Telugu language, aims at providing rural electrification through possible use of renewable energies.
Infrastructure is one of the major key issues where India is lacking growth. India is undoubtedly one of the fastest developing nations, while growth being uneven. Rich getting richer, poor getting more poorer. Cities develop too fast where as villages still do not have enough water facilities, electricity and many more basic needs. At least half of the population of India is in villages, and most of these villages receive less than eight hours of electricity per day. We being democratic Indians, everyone of us has equal rights to enjoy all basic needs whether born in city or in an isolated village. Its not a sin to be born in a village. Being civilised, it is our duty to make this even development happen back at home. Nobody will come from the sky suddenly and develop everything. It is WE, who need to take the initiative and make the development a reality. Our motto is to facilitate availability of electricity for accelerated growth and to enrich the quality of life in rural and semi-urban population. We would like to start this mission through rural electrification based on renewable energies which are helpful for villages and to the Mother Nature too.
Rural electrification is the process of bringing electrical power to rural and remote areas. Electricity is used not only for lighting, drinking water and household purposes, but it also allows for mechanization of many farming operations. This reduces unhealthy fuel usage such as kerosene and will automatically lead to healthy and hygienic environment.
