We are very glad to say that the very first step, our first event in the project “Vidya” is a very successful one. In spite of the last minute changes in the schedule, venue…everything, it was a great success. From Anantakiranam, monetary help has been provided for three poor students through Maruthi Rao sir.

The actual event was in Govt Girls high school, Anantapur.

We have distributed books and a pair of school uniform to the poor students in a small meeting arranged in the school. Thanks to the parents of some of the members who came to the meet and provided us the much needed motivation. People who have attended the meet have been moved by the situation of the students. One of our member’s parents has announced an extended help to ten more students from his own expenses. Forget about shoes, they didn’t even have books to study. According to the faculty, their parents sending them to the school it self is a huge task.

When we spoke to the students personally, what we have understood is we are blessed to be in such a position without much struggle.

Thanks to one and all on and off the screen for making this event a huge success.

In total with this event, we were able to help 31 students in total.
