After executing two phases of project Vanam successfully, we are heading for a Phase III execution in the coming weeks. The Phase III is planned in the village Ravula Cheruvu, 7 km away from Dharmavaram.

The initial survey has been done by one of our friends Nagabhushan and he has estimated that around 300 beneficiaries are ready to accept the tree saplings, plant them and take care of them. We are planning to integrate this event with our project  Vidya Phase III by providing support for education of the kids from the same village.

We are looking for volunteers who can either participate in the program by physically being present in the program or help in making administrative decisions or support financially for the event. If somebody can participate in more than one way, we would be naturally be more happy.

Hello everybody,

We are very happy to announce that we have succesfully completed the Vanam Project Phase II in Antarganga Village, near Anantapur town.

We have succesfully distributed 250 tree saplings, out of which many were Coconut and Mango saplings. Villagers supported nicely and appreciated our efforts.

The event schedule has been confirmed for 3rd of July (i.e. first saturday of July).

The venue will be KSR Govt Girls High School, Anantapur.

Based on the feedback from our members, we’ll be rolling out withour new plan going forward.

The new plan will be providing scholarships and necessary awareness on governement programs etc to the poor merit students from various villages.

The villages will be selected based on the identified network, which includes Anantakiranam volunteers and local teachers.

We the Team Anantakiranam would like to thank one and all who participated, helped and made the Vanam project Phase-1 at Upparapalli, Anantapur a great success.

We with the help of locals were able to plant about 340 plants on 10th Saturday, Jan 09, despite the lorry strikes. Out of which  were 200-Sapota (Chikkoo), 70-Mamidi (Mango), 60-Vepa (Neem), 10-Kanuga ( Karanja).All the plants were planted on the road side in residential areas and every household would be taking care of the respective plant planted near the house.

We will be updating the site with the photos of the event in near future.

Hello All,

As part of the program, initially Anantakiranam is going to start with plantations in the village and the school premises. The second phase of the program will be forming committees with the village youth and bringing awareness among the villagers on Health & Hygiene, Greenery,  Education etc. With the help of the committee members and the villagers, Anantakiranam will be contributing towards reforming the school which is in a very unhealthy state currently. Providing necessary resources like food, clothes, books etc to a group of orphans in the village will also be a part of this event and will be through out the year unlike a one time event.
